PADI Mermaid

Did you know that there are now PADI Mermaid Programs? These new PADI programs are designed to provide water-enthusiasts an additional outlet for exploring their underwater passion.

PADI Mermaids Programs are stand-alone programs like the PADI Freediver program. Mermaids from age 6 and up can participate and even earn an official PADI certification.They don’t require scuba or freediver ratings as an underlying certification. The new Mermaid Programs consist of four student level ratings:

Why should I pursue a certification? Can't I just buy a tail and play around in the pool?

Of course you can! But the PADI programs offer a way to develop your skills far beyond playing around. You can expect to learn much more about:

Water safety skills
Freediving techniques
Breathing regulation
Mindfulness and body awareness

AND much more while earning a certification that demonstrates your skill!
